Facing a Psychological Crisis – Assessment and Treatment 1-Day Course
A psychological crisis is a situation in which an individual experiences intense emotional distress or psychological turmoil. This distress can manifest in a variety of ways, such as severe anxiety, depression, or intense feelings of confusion and uncertainty. In some cases, a psychological crisis may be severe enough to interfere with an individual’s ability to function in their daily life, potentially leading to feelings of isolation, hopelessness, or even thoughts of suicide.
Objectives for Facing a Psychological Crisis:
During the training, participants are instructed in the interaction skills of encountering a person in crisis and using structured assessment methods and forms. The participant will have access to tools for assessing the risk of acute suicide, and violence, among other things. In addition, participants are introduced to interventions that help a person in a crisis. The participant in the training learns to understand the traumatic crisis and receives ways to prevent PTSD.
The training will commence on the 2nd of February, 2023.
Target audience:
Professionals from different fields have to face people in crises at various stages of life: e.g. employees in the social and healthcare sector, education, youth services, parishes, the labour administration and the third sector.
